D-Day June 6th 1944

156,000 men stormed 5 beaches that spanned a 50 mile stretch

We swarmed like wasps but were killed like ants

Living vs. dying came down to luck

Americans, Brits and Canadians marched towards their death

The ultimate sacrifice in the name of good vs. evil

To bring to an end, the tyranny of Hitler

Hot lead flying, grenades exploding, your brother is dying

Limbs lost and freedom gained

Men and women working together

Climbing rock faces and storming machine gun bunkers

One by one we exterminated the pests

Until there weren’t any of them left
